Maison de la Baie (Bay Centre) - Mussel Farming and Exploration VIVIER-CHERRUEIX

Listed as a natural and cultural site among the UNESCO world heritage sites in 1979, the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel conceals fine examples of a flora that is exceptionally varied.

A exhibition ....

You can discover this natural setting at the Bay "Mussel farming and exploration" Centre of Vivier-Cherrueix, which promotes the observation and understanding of the living world.

This bay, which is one of the largest in Europe can be distinguished by a large tidal range, sometime reaching 15 metres, and by specific sedimentary shifts. At the Vivier-Cherrueix harbour these phenomena and their impact on the workings of the "Bay system" are explained by an exhibition and a museography.
